Selling a Telegram gift — the market guide

What can be sold, the resale rules, commission and how to price a copy.

Short answer

Selling applies only to gifts upgraded to collectible: they carry a number and attributes, so they can be transferred to another account. The trade happens on Telegram’s own market or on Fragment, usually for TON. An ordinary gift cannot be resold — it can only be converted back to Stars.

Service status — updated October 2026
You cannot sell a gift from your Telegram account through @StarsPaymee_bot — your own collectible is sold on the market inside Telegram or on Fragment. The bot works the other way round: its NFT Market lets you buy a listed collectible for up to 300,000 so‘m, and its NFT rental lets you take a collectible for a set term.

Which gifts can be sold?

Only upgraded (collectible) gifts can be sold — they carry a number and attributes, so they can move to another account. Ordinary gifts are not resold; they can be converted back into Stars, as described in converting a gift to Stars. Upgrading is covered in a separate article.

How to sell

  1. 1. Check it is collectibleOrdinary gifts cannot be transferred or resold.
  2. 2. Check the datesSome gifts carry an earliest resale date — it is shown on the gift card.
  3. 3. Open the marketGo to Fragment or the gift market inside Telegram.
  4. 4. Set a priceCompare with copies that share the same model, backdrop and symbol.
  5. 5. Account for commissionResale carries a fee, so your net is below the listed price.

Risks worth knowing

  • Prices are volatile — a digital collectibles market is not an income guarantee.
  • You need a TON wallet: proceeds land there.
  • Use the official market only; “buyers” in direct messages are frequently scammers.

If the listing does not go through, or nobody buys, the causes are covered in why a gift is not selling. See also what a gift’s price depends on.

Frequently asked questions

Can ordinary gifts be sold?
No. They can only be converted back into Stars.
Is there a commission?
Yes, resale carries a fee, so you receive less than the listed price.
Why can I not list my gift?
There may be an earliest resale date, or a price limit — check the gift card.
